:: Political Correctness my Arse ::

This is simply my take on some of the different things I have been learning about Muggles. I learn most of it from speaking to some of you, but I have also learned quite a bit in school.

I like fast brooms, large manors, and a hefty bank account at Gringotts.

I believe that the money I have belongs to my family and I. This should go for everyone, and that is why I cannot comprehend how you lot put up with some governmental lout who has a bad comb-over. You allow him to give your money away to crack addicts and whores for giving birth to an obscene amount of children, all of which have different Fathers.

Guns do not make you a murderer. Murdering someone makes you a murderer. I could kill someone with broomstick, but no one is keeping me from attending Quidditch matches. Just make sure you don't give these ... metal ... weapons to the wrong people. How the bloody hell are they legal? And really, you wonder why people get shot.

I also believe that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion.

I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything, except perhaps numbers. The only things I have heard of that I feel are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, and Black Entertainment Television. I say you lot make up the United Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment TV and see what happens.

Honestly, do you lot really put up with this?

I have every right not to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off.

When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that's a number not racial profiling, it is the law of statistics. I hate when people use something as insignificant as skin colour as an excuse for behavior. Perhaps if you were engrossed in Jet Magazine, you wouldn't wind up with your stupid arse in jail.

I believe that if you are selling me a butterbeer, a magazine, the Daily Prophet, or a hotel room, you must do it in English. As a matter of fact, if you want to be a British citizen, you should have to speak English, especially when you're in public.

I don't think just because you were not born in the country, you should be qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, and if you plan on switching countries, don't bring over your old beliefs. I don't give a damn who you worship, what you eat at dinner, or how many paces you walk behind your husband, but when you're in public, associating with the real world, get the blanket off of your face and show your bloody ankles.

It doesn't take an entire village to raise a child correctly, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid and smack their little arse when necessary, not to mention saying NO.

I am sick of hearing about this sodding Political Correctness and of all the suck ups that actually go along with it. And if you don't like my point of view, tough shit.

Blimey, I don't even have to live with all of these rules and I'm already tired of hearing about it.

And again, people wonder why I want no Muggles associated with the Wizarding world.

P.S.

Where is my layout?

I certainly can’t blame you for wanting to keep muggles out of the Wizarding world, hell look what we’ve done to our own world. How are guns legal? Ha HA! I ask myself this everyday, when we’ve undoubtedly proved ourselves unable to handle them. I suppose it makes some people feel big... Napoleon complexes or something.

How do we put up with it all? I don’t know. Sometimes I choose the denial route. Sometimes I try to do things about it in my own small ways. But as a whole I’d say we muggles deal with it buy injecting nasty chemicals into our bodies, killing other muggles, or writing bad music. Sometimes I think we thrive on our own self destruction. Gross.

Good to know your still alive and well.

Alright here is my knickers on the issue at hand.

1. I too am about sick and tired of all the government shit. Why put the definition of marriage in the constituion? What's next? The recipe to your favorite chocolate chip cookies? *sigh*

2. How can you stop hungar in your own country when you spend your money on helping the poor in other countries?

3. I don't want to have to get a cup of coffe and have it say "It's hot" in 30 different languages. Put a little picture of a person holding a cup of coffee and make fire around it I think that gets the message across.

4. This is america or britan NOT the middle east, no one care if your ankles are showing becuase they are too busy looking at some girl's arse that is hanging halfway out of her jeans.

I'm so glad someone else thinks there is something wrong with muggle society.

What all the mentally ill fandom girls are going to ask you is how often daddy smacked your arse when necessary. Read into that what you will. haha

I agree with your point, if not all of your views (but that's the beauty of freedom). I think Political Correct-ness is getting to be such a problem that no one can say anything important at all. Everyone just glosses over the issues because they're afraid of offending someone. It's horrible. No real change can happn unless people can first define the (whole) issue, and the steps to take to change it. This summer I'm going to be a Page in the U.S. Congress and I'm hoping I'll get to talk to my sponsor (they'll be either a House Representative or a Senator) about that. It's really a problem.

Plausible deniability is how it works. People will just vote to get the voting over with, won't care who they vote for and then when he gets his claws into our wallets, that's when they say, "Wait a minute, I didn't vote for him..."

Welcome to America, where we treat other countries better than our own.

good points all. the 'minorities' are becoming more powerful than the 'majorities'. I blame the ability to sue, myself.
~
Race is a tricky issue to deal with. Sure, lots of crime is racial, but there is the oither side too; black people beating up white people, as opposed to the other way round, which also happens.
~
As for tax breaks, that is incredibly unfair. I'm not even going into uni. topup fees, and truant 'rewards'. *screams with frustration* i hate Labour.

Then perhaps this country known as America should stop claiming to be a 'melting pot'.

As it is, the U.S. apparently wants to represent more then one ethnicity and diversity, in many cases, is welcome with open arms. It's a rather modern idea isn't it? Most people don't bother wanting to learn past their own culture--what truer form of ignorance is there? Remaining within the same planet and keeping your eyes closed is unacceptable. Knowledge should be spread at every available opportunity. Sure, the concept of a melting pot country is more idealistic and realistic, but that's no reason to accept it and stop trying.

As for the issue of guns; you can't simply rid of them forever. How do you propose this would happen? Our constitution protects this right, and there are people out there who would never let guns become outlawed. If there was an easy to get rid of them, we would have done it long ago.

And really, you wonder why people get shot. We don't. And you're right, guns don't make you murderers. So perhaps its people we should get rid of.

It seems that this post, as well as a vast majority of the comments, is just a mindless bash on the U.S. and every other country like it. I don't currently agree with the government and have been known to make brash statements about it, but I am tired of seeing people taking that as an opportunity to recall all that is bad about this country. 'We treat other countries better than our own?' Half of you have probably not been exposed to other areas of the world, where you are not so fortunate in all that you have, and where you are not within the 6% of the richest people in the world. A little gratuity never hurt anyone.

First of all, I sincerely hope that you realise every one of your moot points was made completely irrelevant by the fact you posted anonymously. If you truly believed everything you said was righteous and true, you would have the nerve to sign your name. However, you've left me nothing but this rambling, incoherent load of tosh that you happened to spew all over your keyboard.

I suppose I will start off by asking - Am I American?

No, I am not. The vast majority of people who comment here are however, so isn't it just a tad bit funny that they all happen to agree with everything I've said? Each of these complaints have come from them. I don't live in America, I've never even been, and I have no interest to go. In fact, I've never left the Wizarding World, and I don't intend to.

"It's a rather modern idea isn't it? Most people don't bother wanting to learn past their own culture--what truer form of ignorance is there?"

I can name one.

A hypocritical little girl who is too cowardly to even sign a bloody name while she's attempting to defend her moot points. If anyone's ignorant here, it's you. If you're so high and righteous about learning the fine aspects of other cultures, no one's stopping you. Go hop on a plane, fly somewhere where your Uncle will rape you and you'll get shoved down a well, or perhaps lit on fire.

Merlin!

I believe I've just had an epiphany! Why would I have no interest in associating myself with a culture like that? They make their women wrap their faces in scarves, marry when they're about twelve, walk ten paces behind their husbands and not speak! After having to deal with the likes of you, that's starting to sound pretty good to me. Especially the part about lighting you on fire when you don't shut your ruddy mouth.

So really, do tell me, I'm curious. What makes you so much better than the rest of us? No one's stopping you from going to those countries and living as those women do. So go on then. Ta ta, adios, have a nice trip.

Many people who immigrate, immigrate for a reason. If they hated their own country so much, then they should be willing to adapt to the one they considered good enough to immigrate to. If I were to move to China, for example, I wouldn't open up a sushi place of my own and get pissed off when people didn't understand English, or my accent.

It is their country, that is the language they speak, and I believe that if I didn't bother to learn it, I should be forced back out and to my own country, which I seem to be so unwilling to let go of. Many people immigrate, learn the language, get a proper job, and are off welfare within a year. The ones who aren't should have to leave, simple as that.

About the guns, I find it rather repulsive you're sticking up for them. People my age are shooting eachother at schools, with guns they have been allowed to buy, or else have found in their home because their thick prat of a Father forgot to lock up his display case. Why does anyone besides law enforcement need them?

"So perhaps its people we should get rid of."

In your case, yes.

Now are you finished? I think Potter could have thought up a more valid argument than yours, and that is a sad thing. I'd ask you to get off of your high horse, but it's pretty clear to me you've already fallen off, and apparently hit your head very, very hard.

Wonder what brought this up? AND if u think having to hear about all that is bad, try having the supposed leaders of your school not comprehend an article defending them, but instead taking offense to it. These are suppose to be the leaders of tomorrow, cause if that's true some one shoot me now.
